Béchamel Sauce

Also simply called White Sauce, this piece of culinary magic is very versatile in the kitchen. This creamy sauce brings together a lot of dishes and is one of the classic French “mother sauces”.

It’s easier that you may think and it comes together in less than 15 min. Give it a try!

Ingredients

  • 50g Butter
  • 50g All Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg

Directions

  1. Once you measured the ingredients you need, melt the butter in a saucepan and add flour.
  2. Cook gently for 1 minute, stirring. And then add 1 cup of milk whisking constantly, until incorporated.
  3. Add the second cup of milk, whisk until smooth and add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste.
